Seam Options for Filter Bags

There are two options available for the seam of the filter bags:

  1. Thermally welded bags: It have gained popularity in recent years, replacing the traditional method of three-row stitching. The thermally welded seam consists of two layers of fabric thermally bonded together at a certain temperature as per Fabric Quality, resulting in higher seam-breaking strength and zero emission leakages through the seam of filter bags. Normally it is done on Polyester & PPS Filter Bags.
  2. Three-row stitch bags: It is standard stitching method, where 2 layers of fabric are overlapped and bonded by Stitching of Threads at the Upward & Lower end of the Fabric layers. The type of stitching thread used depends on the fabric Quality to run. Normally Polyester MF 6 PLY, lubricated high-strength Threads & 100% PTFE high-strength 3 /4 PLY Threads are used in Various Deniers.

Different Types of Coating / Chemical Treatment on Woven & Non-Woven Fabric

  1. PTFE coated Filter bags
  2. PTFE Membrane laminated on the outer dust collection side
  3. Antistatic treatment with carbon yarn / Stainless Steel (SS) Yarn OR Wires in Scrim of Fabric
  4. Water & Oil repellent on both sides of the fabric - Deep Bath
